Lately CBD has had quite the hype. The CBD industry can be overwhelming to navigate. I wanted to create this guide for people who are interested in learning about it and how to choose sustainable & responsibly made CBD products.

To be honest I was overwhelmed when I first heard about CBD, but have been using these products for a few years now. I have tried CBD products from all of these brands and learned the importance of choosing organic and reliable high quality CBD products.

What is CBD? And how is it different from THC?

CBD stands for cannabidiol. As Harvard Health states, CBD is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis.

While CBD is an essential component of medical marijuana, it is derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant.

While CBD is a component of marijuana (one of hundreds), by itself it does not cause a “high.”

THC is the main psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis which causes the sensation of getting “high” that’s often associated with marijuana. However, unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive.

While CBD effects individuals differently, CBD has been known to help relieve pain, reduce anxiety, and help consumers sleep.

At this point in time there are limited studies on CBD so be sure to consult your healthcare professional to decide if it is for you.

Since the hemp industry has grown quickly and is not very regulated.

How Do I Use CBD?

I have used both full spectrum and THC free CBD products for my anxiety. I’ve been using it for a few years and I take a few oil drops before bed every night.

While CBD comes in many forms such as topicals, gels, & tinctures, for me personally the oil drops seem to be the most effective. I’ve found that taking consistently has helped relieve my physical symptoms of anxiety and help me sleep better.

Like I said above, CBD effects everyone differently so it might take some time to figure out how much and the type that is most effective for you. I know certain products work better for me than others, so finding a balance takes time.
