Love Where You Are in Life & The People in Your Life

Jake & I were one of the few who found each other in high school. We’ve been together ever since. And I know we’re really lucky in that aspect. I honestly don’t know how people date. The stories I’ve heard from my friends….I can’t imagine trying to master the dating apps, meet people at work, and all the other dating tricks. But I know that tonight, on Valentine’s day, a few of my friends will be on awkward Tinder dates, a few will be drinking alone, and a few will be celebrating with their significant others….or their dogs. All are okay. Love life where you are. Easy for me to say since I’ve found my person, I know. But really, I’m queen of not living in the now, daydreaming of the future, and regretting it later. So take my word when I say love where you are in life and love the people who are currently in your life…even if you haven’t found your “one.” . Valentine’s Day focuses on couples, but love reaches so far beyond couples. Love your friends. Love your family. And LOVE yourself. Don’t spend time dwelling on the love you don’t have. Love the ones you do.

I'm sitting here drowning myself in design work for clients, writing, and procrastinating even LOOKING at my homework. Don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly grateful for my education because I recognize what a privilege it truly is.
