With summer nearing an end, I’m finally getting around to writing a swimsuit review on my fave socially responsible high waisted bikini. I collaborated with Lime Ricki on their #getinthewater body positivity campaign and in exchange was given a swimsuit to try out. Let me tell you, this is seriously my favorite swimsuit I’ve ever owned! And I sincerely appreciate that this swimwear is socially responsible. Lime Ricki swimsuits are proudly sewn in the USA & give back by donating a portion of each purchase to Charity Water, an organization that brings clean and safe drinking water to developing nations.
As I said in my body positivity post, I don’t have that slim stick figure (and I’m okay with that now if you haven’t read the post), but one of the things I sincerely love about Lime Ricki is their variety of styles that flatter different body types. So many swimsuit brands only carry the classic string bikini and that’s not something I feel flatters my body type. Lime Ricki has high waisted, one pieces, tankinis, and a lot of styles allowing customers to find a suit that makes them feel confident. This summer I’ve been wearing my Black Gingham High Waisted Bottom + Knotted Crop Top from Lime Ricki and I have honestly never felt more confident in a swimsuit. I think it hugs my curves in the perfect places. The vintage look is totally my style! And I love the classic pattern. As someone with a larger chest the Knotted Crop Top was great because this top keeps everything in place when I’m swimming and enjoying myself. With swimsuits I’ve previously had I tend to worry about something slipping out, haha, but the pads and style of the Knotted Crop Top really work to provide solid support and coverage.
I sincerely appreciate that Lime Ricki is a size inclusive brand. Not only do they spread body positivity by offering a variety of styles and encouraging everyone to get in the water, but also by offering swimsuits ranging from XS-3XL. And just for reference I’m wearing a size large in both the top and bottom of the Black Gingham Swimsuit. Anyway I’ll stop gushing over this swimsuit now, but if you’re looking for a swimsuit made in the USA consider Lime Ricki. I genuinely love what they stand for with body positivity, giving back, and encouraging self love.
