Ever tried running a start up & moving across country? Pro-tip probably don't. My life is literally in boxes right now...and my head is spinning in 1000 different directions. Sorry I've been slacking off on product posts & incredibly slow with responding to e-mails, but here's a little life update on what's going on with me.
This week is my last week in Nashville. People keep asking me, "Are you ready to move?" The short answer is no. My apartment is the ultimate shit show right now and my mind hasn't fully processed that I'm moving cross country in less than a week. While I'm ready for a change, changes always seem to sneak up on me. My four years in Nashville has been an eye-opening experience. The Honest Consumer would not be where it was today, if I hadn't met some very specific people here in Nashville & had some of the life changing experiences I had. I am scared to leave this incredibly supportive entrepreneurial community that has helped me grow over the past few years. I've been so blessed with mentors and friends who have encouraged me to find my way. But I think that's one of the values of change, taking what you have learned and continuing to further your knowledge. I'm going to be all over the place for the next few months and I think that I will be able to take what I learned in Nashville, share it with others, and gain new perspective from those I will meet on my new journey.
I'm moving home to Dallas for a few months to continue some freelance work, work on the start-up, & save some money. Jake & I will be doing some traveling in the early summer. We will be visiting London, Paris, & Italy! We would love suggestions on travel tips, places to visit, & social enterprise/ethical fashion businesses to check out while abroad! In July we will be moving to Seattle where things will hopefully calm down a bit and I can regain a bit of consistency. Until then continue following my chaotic life & thanks for your continuous patience as we continue to grow together as a conscious community!
If you're in the Nashville area, my final hurrah will be this Friday! I'm hosting an event with House Of. Get the details here, stop by & say hello/goodbye!
