Rosa Hermosa creates stylish, ethically made clothing, using high quality materials such as organic cotton. Proceeds from Rosa Hermosa apparel are donated to Our Little Roses, a nonprofit that runs an orphanage and school for girls in Honduras.
After Rosa Hermosa founder, Joanne, visited Our Little Roses on a mission trip, she wanted to make a difference. The 501 (c)(3), Our Little Roses, was founded due to the high poverty level, the male dominated society, and the lack of orphanages, specifically for girls, in Honduras. Our Little Roses provides a positive environment and gives each girl the opportunity to receive an education through the high school level.
After arriving back to America, Joanne wanted to start her own social enterprise to give back. While reflecting on her experience Joanne decided she wanted to empower American women through fashion, while empowering young Honduran girls through education. Rosa Hermosa was born. Joanne began creating quality, sustainable garments and donating proceeds to Our Little Roses.
Rosa Hermosa sells basics, knitwear, jewelry, and more. The tops are comfortable and can be dressed up, or down, depending on your day. I love that Rosa Hermosa garments are ethically made AND give back.
Joanne continues to visit Our Little Roses and is able to see the impact Rosa Hermosa has. Currently Joanne and her family currently sponsor two girls through Our Little Roses. This summer they will be traveling to Honduras to watch them graduate high school.
8/18 unfortunately Rose Hermosa has gone out of business
